As a Knifemaker, I focus on crafting bespoke knives to meet the unique needs and specifications of each of my clients. My passion is creating knives that are not only functional but also beautiful and well-balanced.
Because my knives are customized, they take time to make and I am not prepared to rush the process. Depending on how many orders I am fulfilling, a custom made knife can take from 1 - 8 weeks to make from start to finish. However, talk to me about your specific order, as there are always varying factors that may impact how long it takes to create your perfect knife.
Fusion of beauty and functionality.
The main Stainless Steels I use are Sandvik 12 C 27 and AISI 440C, also Swedish AEB-L which was designed for razor blade production.
A new steel I've been trying out is a Stainless Steel called Nitro-V. Which is exceptionally hard at 64 Rockwell C. It comes from The New Jersey Steel Baron in the U.S.
For Carbon Steel I use AISI 1070, CK1055, which is a Spring Steel and 15n20 a Nickel Alloy steel. These Carbon Steel blades are hot blued to protect the blade from rust.
Damascus Steel billet's are forged by hand with the help of a Striker. The stainless steel Damascus billets are sourced overseas.

Metalwork
I either forge knife blades from scratch, or cut and grind from a bar. I can custom finish blades in Damascus, satin or it can be hand polished. Choose from drop point, bowie or kitchen style to suit your everyday needs, hunting or cooking activities.
Horn & Antler
I have a vast collection of horns and antlers from Red deer, Ox, Marino sheep, Goat, Water buffalo and American bison. All of which have the most beautiful grains, warm colour and surface textures with excellent grip for your custom made knife.
Stonework
Being on the West Coast, I have access to beautiful local Pounamu, New Zealand's Nephrite Jade. I handcraft my handles using Pounamu and other local natural stones. Uniquely designed handles that are beautiful and durable.
Leatherwork
I offer sheaths in various styles and leathers to match your custom knife. I take extreme care in crafting each sheath to ensure it fits comfortably and securely. Leather can be tooled or embossed to your design or mine.
Woodwork
I am an avid collector of native and exotic woods, especially if the wood has burls or interesting patterns. Choose from my collection to assemble your knives handle. I pay close attention to every detail, ensuring that each handle is unique and top-quality.
